My name is Jacob Benson. My friends and colleagues call me Jake. I am a coder by profession who loves to develop useful tools and websites. I have been coding since I was a 15-year-old kid living in New York.
Mic Tester is an online tool that I have developed to help people test their microphones. The idea came up when I was in a zoom meeting and my mic was not working. People were not able to hear my voice clearly and it was frustrating. That’s when I thought there should be a tool to help people test their microphones before they join a meeting or start recording something. And so, the Mic tester came into the picture.
I am passionate about making things that are useful and easy to use. I believe in the philosophy of “simple is better”. And so, all my tools and websites are designed keeping this philosophy in mind.
